Zephaniah Mbugua

Zephania Mbugua is a founder and currently the Chief Executive Officer of Abcon Group of Companies, a diversified group of companies involved in chemicals, and manufacture of industrial detergents. He is also the Chairman of East African Cables (K) Ltd., East African Cables (TZ) Ltd and Kewberg SA as well as a director of Proctor & Allan EA Ltd., Flashcom Ltd. and Zeniki Investment Ltd.

Mr. Mbugua has a BSc in Chemistry and Mathematics from Makerere University.

Gachao Kiuna

Gachao Kiuna is the CEO of Trans-Century Ltd. He was previously working for McKinsey & Company in Johannesburg advising corporate clients in emerging markets on corporate finance, strategy, operational excellence and organizational effectiveness. While at McKinsey, he was also focusing on economic development (e.g., country strategy), electric power (particularly generation), global health and education and was the principal consultant that led the McKinsey assignment to develop the Vision 2030 project for the Government of Kenya.

He has BSc in Biochemistry (First Class Honors) from Imperial College, and PhD from the University of Cambridge, Corpus Christi College.

  Robin Kimotho

Robin Kimotho is currently the Project Director with Polaris International (K) Ltd, an affiliate of Kang'ethe & Associates Certified Public Accountants. He has previously lectured at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology's Faculty of Business Administration, worked for Kenya Commercial Bank as a consultant in the Business Advisory Services Division, and also as manager of the Economics and Planning Division. He has also worked as an Investment Officer for Africa Project Development Facility (APDF) in various countries in eastern and southern Africa.

Mr. Kimotho has a diploma in Investment Planning and Appraisal from the University of Bradford, a BA (Econ) First Class Honors from Makerere University and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Alberta.

  Peter Kanyago

Peter Kanyago is currently Chairman of East African Courier Limited (Fedex), East African Elevator Co. Limited (OTIS), and formerly a director at Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA) and Express Kenya Limited. He is also a member of the board of several companies including Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA), East African Cables Limited, and a number of tea factories. He is currently on the board of Governors for Gathera Secondary School and Chinga Boys High School. His corporate social responsibilities activities have included acting as the former Chairman of Rotary Club - Nairobi North and Karen Country Club.

Mr. Kanyago was educated at Strathmore College and Pacific States University.

  Njeru Kirira

Njeru Kirira is currently a Managing Consultant with Global Economic Investment and Financial Consultancy Limited (GEIFIC Limited). He has previously served as the Chief Executive of the Kenya Hotelkeepers and Caterers Association, Director of Fiscal & Monetary Affairs (Treasury), Economic Advisor to the Central Bank of Kenya and the Financial Secretary to the Treasury. He has been a director in many companies including, Kenya Commercial Bank Limited, Savings & Loan Limited, Kenya Commercial Bank (Tz) Limited, Associated Vehicle Assemblers Ltd, Housing Finance, Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Post Office Savings Bank, National Social Security Fund, Phoenix Publishers and Suntra Investment Bank Ltd.

Mr. Kirira has a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Pittsburgh and BA (Hons) in Economics and Agricultural Economics from Makerere University.

  Ngugi Kiuna

Ngugi Kiuna is the founder and CEO of Maxam Ltd, an importer and distributor of beer and spirits. He has previously been the Managing Director of Johnson Diversey EA Ltd. and Managing Director of Holman Bros EA. He is also the Chairman of UBA Bank Kenya Limited, as well as a non-executive director of Marshalls (EA) Limited, KIA Motors Limited, JohnsonDiversey East Africa Limited, BOC Kenya Limited, Proctor & Allan E.A. Limited, Cooper Kenya Ltd and X & R Technologies.

He has a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.

  Joe Karago

Joseph Karago is a director of Karago & Associates Architects and the chairman of Sajo Ltd. and Mcensal Ltd. He is a member of the board of governors of Thomas Barnados Home, and Chairman of the Adoptions Committee, Kenya Children's Home. He was previously Partner-in-charge of Design and Technical Coordination at Plence International and before that worked for Symbion International Architects.

Mr. Karago has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Nairobi.

  Carol Musyoka

Carol Musyoka is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Enablis East Africa and Institute for Economic Affairs. She has previously been Chief Operating Officer of K-Rep Bank, Corporate Director of Barclays Bank and a Corporate Manager with Citibank Kenya. She has also been a Project Officer with the Modern Africa Fund and an associate with Oraro & Co. She has over 10 years of financial leadership and legal experience working in Kenya and the United States in deal origination, structuring and execution, as well as credit risk and treasury management.

Carol has a Bachelor of Law from the University of Nairobi and Master of Law degree from Cornell University, USA.
